How to measure for a mastectomy bra |
|
It is important to wear the correct sized bra. Di Murini advise you to have a friend or partner to help you with this process to get the most accurate result.
Di Murini's bra measuring method will ensure your correct size whether you have a prosthesis in place, or not. Please be aware that all measurements are in inches. To find out your correct size in your country please view Di Murini's International Size Guide.
Step 1 Wearing a bra measure around your whole body where your bra's band lies, beginning in the centre of your chest. Hold the tape measure firmly in place and note the measurement.
Please note - If you are unable to get a friend to help you measure, then stand with your back facing a mirror to ensure the tape measure does not slip down.
This gives you measurement A.
Step 2 Hold the tape measure to your sternum (at the centre of your chest) and measure across the fullest part of your natural breast. Follow right around until you reach your spine. Double your measurement. This gives you measurement B.
Step 3 Enter your measurement A and measurement B into the calculator below. It will advise you of your correct Di Murini bra size.
If you have had a double mastectomy Follow Step 1 as normal. It is then down to personal preference as to what cup size you choose to wear. Consider your height, weight and the size of your natural breasts before the mastectomy. Also seek advice from medical staff that have been treating you. |
